Born in France and based in Los Angeles, Sébastien Léon is a multi-disciplinary artist whose accomplishments emphasize the breadth of his creativity. Recent commissions include a monumental permanent sonic sculpture for the new Orange County Museum of Art, a geodesic dome with an immersive multichannel soundscape in China, video art and production design,among other practices. Léon’s creative vision arises from an ongoing dialogue between opposing forces and he wields that tension to create works that embrace the unexpected and the imperfect.
