Alice Gavalet (born in 1978) lives and works in Nogent-sur-Marne. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art d’Olivier de Serres, Alice Gavalet learned her trade with designer Elizabeth Garouste.

Inspired by the world of textiles and neo-Sotsassian forms, Gavalet has created a universe that is entirely unique, characterized by curves, exaggerations, and other disproportions. She creates emblematic sculptures that convey feelings of joy, particularly through her use of vibrant colors. Each piece is handmade and brought to life by Gavalet’s special technique of layering enamels.
