Aurélie Hoegy is a French artist and formation designer who graduated from the prestigious Design Academy Netherland. She has mastered the ancestral tradition of working with rattan, but she considers the art of movement to be her true medium. Her work is about the relationship to the body, the object and space. In this essence, she references William Forsythe and Pina Bausch in her work and is interested in pushing the boundaries between functionality and sculpture. Aurélie’s work has been acquired in the permanent collections of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and Center Pompidou Paris.
