Claudia Alvarez is a Mexican American artist living and working in New York City. She attended the University of California, Davis (BA) and California College of Arts, San Francisco (MFA). Inspired by historical portrait vessels, water jugs, and ritualistic containers from around the world, each of Alvarez’s hand-built vessels engages a collective memory from ancient to the present. Her perspective emphasizes the inclusive by focusing on a range of humanistic qualities. Alvarez joined RALPH PUCCI in 2021.
