RALPH PUCCI: Process
PROCESS offers a heretofore unseen glimpse into the creative process of the RALPH PUCCI (sculpture studio).
From the early days in New York’s mannequin industry to its evolution into the preeminent collectible design gallery, RALPH PUCCI has continually pushed the boundaries of form and material. The RALPH PUCCI (sculpture studio) and adjacent (factory) in its New York gallery is unrivalled: it is believed to be the only design gallery in the world to make and sell luxury furniture on site, transforming hand-sculpted plaster and clay to prototype to realized design.
PROCESS details RALPH PUCCI’s collaborations with leading artists and designers who work alongside an in-house Master Sculptor to create, from scratch, sculptural works executed in RALPH PUCCI’s trademark Plasterglass material. From initial sketches and renderings to clay maquettes and cardboard facsimiles, this new tome lays bare the messy, inspiring, and ever-changing journey of the creative process.
Artists and designers featured: Alexandre Logé, Elizabeth Garouste, Eric Schmitt, Ilkka Suppanen, John Koga, Lee F. Mindel, Nina Seirafi, Olivier Gagnère, Patrick Naggar, Paul Mathieu, Stefan Bishop, Vladimir Kagan, and Xavier Lust.
