Jerome Abel Seguin & Robert Bristow / Pilar Proffitt
Robert Bristow / Pilar Proffitt
Robert Bristow and Pilar Proffitt are the founding partners of Bristow Profitt Studio, a multi-disciplinary design studio focusing on architecture, interiors and furniture. From a converted dairy barn in Lakeville, CT, the pair aims to produce work that has its own palpable presence. They seek the common threads of simplicity, elegance and permanence, expressed clearly and quietly in all that they make. Trained in the architecture offices of Paul Rudolph and Peter Forbes, with moonlighting stints as Studio Aldo Rossi and Machado-Silvetti, the pair received the commission to design the Hotel RALPH PUCCI. They joined RALPH PUCCI in 2004.
Jerome Abel Seguin
French artist Jerome Abel Seguin has lived in Indonesia for over 25 years. His work gives shape to large native wood species highlighting the natural heft of the material. His latest collection, “Archipelago: Wood, Stone, Iron” celebrated ironwood and iron wall furniture salvaged from scrap metal and machine parts, inspired by handmade ikat textiles from the Flores and Sumba islands in Indonesia. His Suiseki river stone sculptures are shaped over centuries by river currents, and collected by Seguin around Java, and prized for their position between art and nature. He joined RALPH PUCCI in 2000.
