Xavier Lust was born in 1969 and studied interior design in Brussels, where he opened his own studio in 1992. Lust started his career working with large manufacturers before turning his attention to collectable limited-edition design pieces. His designs are identifiable by the curves inspired by his innovative (de)formation process of metallic surfaces. Lust has been included in over 50 exhibits worldwide, including a retrospective of his work in 2007 at the Musée des Arts Contemporains in Belgium. His work is in many permanent museum collections including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, and he has won many design awards including the Compasso d’Oro. Lust joined RALPH PUCCI in 2017.
